Tupelo CVB's sports director to leave

By Biz Buzz

Matt Wyatt, the CVB’s director of sports development, has turned in his resignation. His last day is April 1.

He’ll be leaving for another job. Wyatt said the details of the new job will be announced soon.

“I wasn’t out looking for anything and had no reason to leave,” Wyatt said. “Just a great opportunity kind of approached me and and it’s something I decided I needed to pursue.”

Neal McCoy, executive director of the CVB, said the CVB immediately will begin searching for Wyat’s replacement. The job will be advertised and open to city employees only for the next five days.

If the position isn’t filled by a city employee, McCoy said, then it will be opened to the public.
