Tupelo firefighters responded to a Tuesday morning house fire on Susanne Circle.

The fire was coming through the roof of the house at 1703 Susanne Circle when three fire engines arrived just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, said Station 6 Capt. David Blackwell. It took firefighters 11 minutes to put the blaze out.

No one was home at the time the fire broke out and no injuries were reported.

The house sustained heavy damage to the kitchen and den areas. The rest of the house had smoke and heat damage, Blackwell said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
