TUPELO – The Tupelo Public School District has hired Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates to conduct the national search for the next principal at Tupelo High School.
Based in Glensview, Ill., the educational search firm will charge the district $10,000, plus an additional $2,500 for such costs as candidate travel and advertising expenses. The firm also offers a guarantee that if the principal selected by the district does not stay for more than one year, it will conduct a new search free.
The Tupelo School Board selected the firm at a specially called meeting on Wednesday. It is the same firm the district used last year in its search for a new superintendent.
The district hopes to hire the new principal by June 1.
