TUPELO – A Tupelo man has been charged in a Sunday drive-by shooting.

Shaquille Roby, 20, of Tupelo, was arrested and will be arraigned Thursday afternoon on the shooting charges.

His bond was set at $50,000 in the Lee County Justice Court Thursday afternoon.

Tupelo Police say the incident happened after Roby allegedly got into a verbal argument on Front Street. The shooting victim left the scene with three small children in his vehicle.

A shot time later, at the intersection of South Gloster and South Green Street, Roby pulled alongside the vehicle and fired several shots.

The shots struck the vehicle but no one inside the vehicle was struck by gunfire.
