Tupelo man pleads guilty on drug charge

By NEMS Daily Journal

OXFORD – Gaston White of Tupelo faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine for his guilty plea to one count of crack cocaine distribution.
White, 27, pleaded guilty to the federal charge last week before Chief U.S. District Judge Michael P. Mills.
Last December, an indictment accused him of the Lee County drug distribution with added penalties if he had a prior felony drug conviction. He was indicted in October but the charge was not made public until two months later.
A sentence date will not be set until after completion of a report to guide Mills’ decision about White’s punishment.
