Tupelo Police investigate alleged armed robbery

TUPELO – Police are looking for a man suspected in robbing a South Gloster business at gunpoint.
Capt. Chuck Bunn said a black male about 6 feet tall walked into Cash Tyme, showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect reportedly took two clerks who were working to the back of the store and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.
Bunn said police received the call at 6:20 p.m. and arrived on the scene two minutes later. Neither clerk was injured.
Police are looking for a black man in his early 20s. Witnesses said he was wearing a white polo-style shirt and dark pants. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 773-8477.
