Tupelo police respond to reported armed robbery

TUPELO – Lee County sheriff’s deputies were searching for two suspects Wednesday after receiving a call of an armed robbery on East Garrison Street.
One of two victims called in the robbery around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Two men reportedly robbed the victims at gunpoint and knifepoint.
According to Sheriff Jim Johnson, cash and phones were stolen.
The suspects are described as black males wearing white T-shirts and gym shorts. They were last seen getting into a black Crown Victoria with a white female driver.
