Five people are in custody after an incident Friday afternoon at the Wal-Mart on West Main in Tupelo, according to Tupelo Police Chief Tony Carleton.

A person was cut and taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center. No information about that person or their condition was available.

Police said the incident stemmed from an incident that happened at another location last night.

The Walmart is open and the area is safe, Carleton said.
