Tupelo woman wins $1 million at casino

TUPELO – A weekend trip to Tunica proved to be extremely profitable for a Tupelo woman.
Linda Guntharp won $1 million in the Tunica Millionaire Maker drawing. She took the money as a lump sum on Saturday at Tunica Roadhouse Casino.
According to a news release, she said, “Do you ever stop shaking?” after winning the money.
A phone number listed for Linda Guntharp in Tupelo has been disconnected.
The drawing was conducted by Harrah’s, Horseshoe and Tunica Roadhouse casinos in Tunica. The contest is open to Total Rewards members who swipe their Total Rewards cards at one of those three casinos.
There have been six million-dollar winners, including Patsy Sledge, a retired school principal from Senatobia.
