Twenty-two drug suspects arrested

RIPLEY – A four-month investigation in Tippah County ended Monday with the arrest of 22 of 32 people sought on felony offenses involving methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana and diverted prescription drugs, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics director Marshall Fisher said in a statement released Tuesday.

Officers from four agencies served arrest warrants in a pre-dawn roundup of people who were indicted recently by a county grand jury, said Tippah County Sheriff Brandon Vance.

Participating agencies included the Tippah County Sheriff's Department, Ripley Police Department, Mississippi Alcoholic Beverage Control, 3rd Judicial District Narcotics Enforcement Team and MBN.
