Two more meth lab arrests were made this week by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
Ricky Sneed, 40, and Tammy Sneed, 39, of 30026 Hester Cutoff Road, Amory, were charged with possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture crystal methamphetamine.
According to Sheriff Andy Hood, on March 20 a Monroe County deputy stopped to assist a motorist that appeared to be having vehicle trouble on Hwy 371 at approximately 8 p.m. The deputy saw alcohol inside the vehicle and also found items used to manufacture crystal meth. The deputy contacted an agent with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit, and they found other items that are used to manufacture crystal meth. at the suspects’ residence.
Ricky Sneed was also found to be in possession of a firearm. He has been previously convicted of a felony offense.
The pair were arraigned in Monroe County Justice Court where Judge Robert Fowlkes set Ricky Sneed’s bond at $20,000 and Tammy Sneed’s bond at $5,000.
