TUPELO – Two men have been arrested and charged with grand larceny.

Tyler C. Robinson, 27, of Pontotoc, and Matthew C. Whiteside, 31, of Tupelo, were arrested March 20 after officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on South Veterans Boulevard.

While on scene, officers discovered that Robinson and Whiteside had sold a trailer to a scrap yard, and an investigation determined the two had stolen the trailer earlier that morning from a business on McCullough Boulevard.

Both men were charged with grand larceny. Robinson, who is currently out on bond for three counts of grand larceny from Lee and Pontotoc counties, had bond set at $150,000. Whiteside’s bond was set at $5,000.
