Two arrested on drug charges in Monroe County

AMORY – Two Monroe County men have been arrested and charged with drug possession and intent to sell, according to a statement from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The men are:

- Terry McAllister, 815 South Matubba Street, Aberdeen.

- Troyan James Robertson, 40006 Cypress Lane, Hamilton.

On Monday, June 25, the Monroe County Sheriff’s office and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit served an arrest warrant on Terry McAllister. Agents arrived and McAllister ran on foot. Agents ran McAllister down and recovered marijuana on his person. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to the statement.

McAllister has been charged with sale of a controlled substance (marijuana), and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Bond was set by Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes at $75,000.

On Saturday, June 23, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit served a search warrant on Troyan James Robertson. Agents recovered digital scales and marijuana inside the residence. Robertson was arrested and transported to the Monroe Detention Center, according to the statement.

Robertson has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Bond was set by Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes at $25,000.

The arrests are part of an ongoing undercover investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics in Monroe County. More arrests are expected.
