OXFORD — North Mississippi authorities say two bodies have been found on or by roads recently, but the cases are unrelated.
The Oxford Eagle reports the body of 27-year-old Jeffrey O’Neal Booker was found late Friday on a county road in Taylor.
Lafayette County sheriff’s investigator Scott Mills says that after learning of Booker’s death, his brother and two others were injured when their vehicle went off an exit ramp from Highway 6 and struck several trees. Two were taken to The Med in Memphis, Tenn. Booker’s brother was had minor injuries.
On Aug. 6, 30-year-old Timothy “Tim Tim” O’Neal Key was found dead on the side of Highway 7. Water Valley Police Chief Mike King says it appeared Key was struck by a car, but the case is under investigation.
