HOUSTON – Two people were killed in a car collision outside of Houston Saturday afternoon.
According to Chickasaw County Coroner Andy Harmon, two cars collided on County Road 254 and he got a call to the scene at 4:22 p.m.
Harmon said the vehicles hit and on impact caught on fire. The Houston Fire Department and ambulances were called to the scene and got the fire out. The two drivers had to be extricated from the vehicles.
Harmon said they were pronounced dead on the scene. The two people killed were the only people in the cars.
Harmon said he plans to release the names of the victims Sunday afternoon. One of the victim’s next of kin is out of the country.
