SHANNON – Two Northeast Mississippi men are charged in connection with possessing drugs with an estimated street value of more than $250,000.
Officers serving a search warrant Tuesday at 200 County Road 643 in Shannon, the residence of 29-year-old Roy Ross, seized about 53 pounds of marijuana, 4 1/2 pounds of cocaine and 16 dosage units of ecstasy, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
In addition, about $30,000 in cash, three automobiles, an ATV, three automatic weapons and a rifle were seized.
Ross and Terry L. Ewing, 31, of West Point were charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to sell or distribute. Ewing also was charged with possession of ecstasy.
Both suspects were being held Wednesday in the Lee County Detention Center, with initial court appearances pending.
