OXFORD – Two University of Mississippi students from the St. Louis, Mo., area were killed and two others injured early Saturday morning when the Ford Mustang in which they were riding left southbound Highway 7 near University Avenue and flipped, according to Oxford Police.

Christopher J. Grimaud, 20, of St. Louis County and Kevin J. Eagan, 18, of St. Charles were pronounced dead at the scene by Lafayette County Deputy Coroner Glenn Coleman.

Major James Owens said two other occupants, later identified as Arthur Lueking and James Connors, also of the St. Louis area, were taken to area hospitals.

Police did not identify which of the four was the driver.

“The University of Mississippi is shocked and saddened by this tragic incident,” said Ole Miss Dean of Students Sparky Reardon in a statement. “Our hearts break when we lose students, and today the whole University is hurting. … The thoughts and prayers of the whole University family are with the families of the students we lost and those who have been injured.”
