Two weeks, Two banks: Another robbery reported in Tupelo

TUPELO — Police are searching for a man suspected in a Trustmark Bank robbery Thursday evening.
The Trustmark Bank on West Main Street was robbed at 4:15 p.m., and Tupelo Police Chief Tony Carleton said the suspect fled on foot northwest toward the skate center on Park Gate Street. It is unknown whether he got into a vehicle later.
Carleton said the suspect is approximately 6 foot tall, and weighs 215 to 240 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, a dark baseball cap and denim shorts.
Carleton said the main robbed the bank at 4:15 p.m., displaying a handgun, and left with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.
An image of the suspect was recorded on the bank’s video surveillance system.
Carleton said the suspect is armed and dangerous, and anyone who comes into contact with him should call the police.
