OXFORD – Magdelino Vargas-Justo was sentenced Thursday to time served on one federal charge of fraud with identification documents.
The Union County resident was indicted March 25 and pleaded guilty June 10 before Chief U.S. District Judge Michael P. Mills.
She had been held by the U.S. Marshal Service since April 15.
Vargas-Justo, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of “an authentication feature” that could be used to falsify Mississippi i.d.. cards. She faced up to 15 years in prison.
Her supplemental plea agreement was sealed, but generally it often requires a defendant to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against other defendants.
