UPDATE: The names of the two victims in the fatal early Sunday crash have been released.

Jeremy Rosamond, 27, of Ackerman, and Royce Dan Thompson, Jr., 24, of Randolph, were killed in the accident, said Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green.

Both were pronounced dead on the scene due to multiple trauma. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol it appears Rosamond was wearing a seatbelt. Thompson was not wearing a seatbelt.

Green said it’s unclear if alcohol was involved, but tests have been done and results should be back in 10 days.

A third person was injured in the crash and was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center with serious injuries, according to the MHP.

The crash remains under investigation.
