LUMBERTON — Two Mississippi Department of Transportation workers were killed Monday in a two-vehicle accident near Lumberton as they tried to clear ice from a railroad trestle.

Franklin said the driver of the car and the driver of the MDOT truck were injured in the crash and transported to local hospitals. He didn’t know their condition.
