JACKSON — AT&T is expanding and upgrading its wireless network in Mississippi.
The company said Thursday that it plans to add 60 cell sites in the state in 2010. More than 200 existing cell sites will be upgraded to 3G and capacity will be enhanced at sites across the state.
In 2009, AT&T says it added more than 40 new cell sites in Mississippi and upgraded more than 110 existing sites to 3G.
AT&T says the improvements are part of an $18 billion to $19 billion companywide capital investment this year.
