Cooper Tire in Tupelo announced today that it will be adding 150 jobs to its plant.
In a ceremony celebrating a $6 million expansion of the facility today, Cooper Tire plant manager Pat Jodon said the company also was adding to its work force.
“We started hiring in July and will continue through the end of year and possibly into the first quarter of next year,” he said.
The hiring was made possible by a 32,000-square-foot expansion. Work will be complete on that expansion by next April, adding a new mixing building to the southwest corner of the plant.
