UPDATE: Corinth bank robbery suspects and accident victims identified

According to a press release by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the two people suspected to have been involved in the armed bank robbery of SouthBank in Corinth are Vida Byrd, 24, and Asa Warren, 25, both of Tuscumbia, Ala.

Byrd, the driver, was pronounced dead at the North Mississippi Medical Center shortly after the accident that happened on Highway 72 near Iuka. Warren was transported to Magnolia Hospital in Corinth and later airlifted to the North Mississippi Medical Center where he remains.

Neither person was wearing a seat belt and were ejected from the vehicle.

The robbery and the accident are still under investigation.
