A north Mississippi veterinarian arrested around noon today by agents of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics is being held in the Alcorn County Detention Center under $50,000 bond, according to MBN Director Marshall Fisher.
MBN agents charged Dr. Donald Brent Jobe, who practices veterinary medicine at Eastbrook Animal Hospital in Corinth, with two counts of fraud in the acquisition of 10 milligrams of Lortab, Director Fisher said.
Lortab is a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
MBN and Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department cooperated in the week-long investigation that led to the arrest of the 45-year-old doctor.
