UPDATE: Documents preserved in Wilson v. Scruggs

OXFORD – Original documents will be preserved in W. Roberts Wilson Jr.’s damages lawsuit, Wilson v. Scruggs et al.

Wilson claims he is owned millions from alleged tampering with his legal-fees lawsuit before then-Circuit Judge Bobby DeLaughter in Hinds County and for others who bankrolled his fees into landmark awards.

Wilson insists former Oxford attorney Richard Scruggs and others illegally won DeLaughter’s favor and cost him his case more than a decade ago.

Scruggs, his son Zach and their associated law businesses already have settled financially with Wilson.

But he’s still suing former New Albany attorney Timothy Balducci, former state auditor Steven Patterson and former Hinds District Attorney Ed Peters. Balducci and Patterson are completing federal prison terms for their guilty pleas in the attempted bribery of Circuit Judge Henry Lackey of Calhoun City.
