MERIDIAN — Authorities say drowning has been ruled in the death of a man whose body was found in a Meridian creek.
The body of 44-year-old Shawn L. Rackley of Meridian was found Wednesday by children playing at Gallagher’s Creek.
Meridian police say preliminary autopsy results showed Rackley had drowned.
Police Capt. James Sharpe says Rackley suffered from epilepsy, which may have contributed to his death.
Sharpe says Rackley’s body had reportedly been in the water between 12 and 24 hours before it was found.
