UPDATE: Ex-Lee County deputy guilty of stealing money during traffic stops

ABERDEEN – Former Lee County Sheriff Deputy Michael Shane Minich, 35, plead guilty to four counts of civil rights violations today.
Minich stopped vehicles containing Hispanic residents on the premise of a sheriff’s traffic stop and stole money from their wallets.
Minich worked with the Sheriff’s Department for 14 years.
He faces four years in prison and $400,000 in fines plus restitution.
