An FBI agent from the Columbia, Tenn. office were in Corinth Thursday morning trying to learn if the armed bank robbery in Corinth on Tuesday might related to a robbery Friday in Ardmore, Tenn.
Corinth police Capt. Ralph Dance said he shared with the agent evidence he had collected from the site of a traffic accident involving the two Corinth suspects.
Vida Byrd, 24, of Tuscumbia, Ala., the driver of the SUV that left the SouthBank branch after Tuesday’s robbery, was killed when the vehicle crashed in Iuka. Suspect Asa Warren, 25, also of Tuscumbia, remains hospitalized in serious condition at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Authorities are awaiting an opportunity to question Warren after he regains consciousness, and he is expected to be charged at that time.
