HOLLY SPRINGS – One child died this morning at the scene of a 7:40 collision between a Holly Springs school bus and a car.
One adult and four children were in the car that collided with the bus. Officials said one of the children in the car, nine-year-old Roddrick Isom, was killed, and its other occupants suffered injuries, according to WMC-TV in Memphis.
Mississippi Department of Public Safety spokesman Jon Kalahar says none of the children on the bus were injured Tuesday in the accident near Holly Springs on Mississippi Highway 7.
He says three other people in the car were taken by helicopter to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.
Kalahar said the school children put on another bus and taken to school. He didn’t know their ages.
