CORINTH – Alcorn County sheriff’s investigators are meeting today with McNairy County officials to discuss the next step in their investigation of the death of a Ramer, Tenn. woman in Alcorn County.
Aaron Hastings, 30, of Corinth, remained in custody Thursday afternoon for questioning in connection with the death of Donna Hill, whose body was found floating in the Tuscumbia River on Sunday, said Alcorn County Sheriff Charles Rinehart.
Authorities found the rental car that Hill had been driving late Monday, which Investigator Jerry Rogers had called a key piece of evidence in the case.
They also have been interviewing Hastings since Wednesday, as well as completing other interviews in the case, the sheriff said.
