VERONA – By a vote of 3-2 the Verona Board of Aldermen passed Sunday beer sales Tuesday night during a public hearing.
Sunday sales will go into effect on Nov. 19, 30 days after the vote.
The amended ordinance does not take effect immediately.
The mayor has 10 days to decide whether to veto the decision or to let it take effect.
The new ordinance allows beer and light wine to be sold in the city of Verona from 1 p.m. until 12 a.m. on Sundays.
