2:18PM – Traffic is moving on Barnes Crossing Road after an 18-wheeler carrying a mobile home struck a street light pole, blocking the road.
The light was operational by 1 p.m. according to Johnny Timmons, manager of Tupelo Water and Light.
Timmons said this is not the first time they have had trouble with this light. Previously agricultural vehicles have collided with the light or light pole but Timmons said this has been the most damage done to the light.

Officer Alan Chavers said it looks like someone struck the pole with their vehicle. Officers are directing traffic off of Highway 45 onto Barnes Crossing Road at the northbound off-ramp.
Currently you can not turn left onto Barnes Crossing road from the Highway 45 northbound lane.
