UPDATE: Two arrests made in Tupelo liquor store robbery

TUPELO – Police have made two arrests in the armed robbery of a local liquor store that happened in July.
Leonta Gates and Denarvis Ruff are charged with the July 26th armed robbery of a liquor store on South Gloster Street. Their bonds were set at $500,000 a piece.
The two allegedly hit the clerk in the head with a bottle before taking an undisclosed amount of money from the store. The arrest were made thanks to tips from the public, Tupelo Police Chief Tony Carleton said.
Police are looking for Talron Coleman, a third suspect possibly involved in the robbery.
Gates is also being charged with and auto burglary that happened on Ida Street in mid June, according to Carelton.
