CORINTH – Corinth police suspect excessive speed may have been a factor in a fatal crash.
A one-vehicle accident claimed the lives of two Corinth residents early Wednesday morning.
Corinth police identified the victims as 28-year-old Lorenzo Jefferson and 29-year-old Barbara Hill. Injured in the same wreck was a child, 11-year-old Darnesha Hill.
Deputy Chief Scotty Harville said it appeared the driver, Jefferson, jumped some railroad tracks at a high rate of speed and hit a utility pole.
Darnesha Hill was transported to LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center, where she is listed in fair condition.
