HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — The University of Southern Mississippi will offer its masters of business administration program on the Hattiesburg campus in the fall of 2013.
The program was moved from the Hattiesburg campus to the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach in the fall of 2011 as part of budget cuts in the USM College of Business.
Dr. Joseph Peyrefitte, interim dean of the College of Business, says the Hattiesburg program will be taught at night on a part-time basis. Peyrefitte said the program in Hattiesburg will eventually become full-time
He said the program initially will take two years to complete because all of the courses will not be offered every year. They will instead available on a two-year rotation.
Students wishing to complete the program in one year will be required to take some classes in Hattiesburg and some in Long Beach.
The program on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach will continue with one week of online classes and one week of face-to-face instruction during the semester.
