Vehicle passenger charged with illegal drug possession in traffic stop

CORINTH – An Ashland woman riding in a vehicle that was stopped on U.S. Highway 72 in Corinth for reckless driving has been arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

When Alcorn County K-9 Officer Scott Dalton and Deputy Shane Crowe spoke with passenger Lacey Culifer, 24, of 1557 Black Jack Road, Ashland, she acted suspiciously. Culifer gave the officers a clear bag that officers suspected was methamphetamine, and they called narcotics officers to the scene.

Further search revealed a small amount of marijuana on Culifer as well.

Bond has been set at $3,000, professional bond only.
