Verona Texaco reportedly held up at gunpoint

VERONA – Multiple law enforcement agencies were still searching for two suspected armed robbers at 11 p.m. Friday.

The Texaco gas station at 5365 Raymond Ave. in Verona was reportedly robbed at gunpoint around 10 p.m. Friday.

According to Police Chief Leo Mask, at least one ski mask was found after the robbery. The Tupelo Police Department K9 tracked down some of the stolen money.

The two suspects ran from the station on foot and both were wearing black or dark clothing. One reportedly had on a black ski mask and the other a red ski mask.
