TUPELO – Residents not yet registered to vote must do so by noon today if they want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 2 general election.
Circuit clerks offices statewide will open from 8 a.m. until noon today to accommodate last-minute applicants.
Registration takes just a few minutes. People must fill out a form asking for their name, address and driver’s license number. If they don’t have a license, they can list the last four numbers of their Social Security number.
Photo ID is recommended but not necessary.
The general election ballot will vary according to voters’ addresses. All ballots will include the 1st District congressional race along with several judicial contests, and some will include school board and constable elections.
Lee County alone has seven different ballot styles, said Circuit Clerk Joyce Loftin.
