Warrant issued for man in Tunica rape case

TUNICA, Miss. (AP) — The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for a man allegedly involved in a nearly decade-old rape, armed robbery and burglary case.

The Commercial Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/qWOKxW) that Sheriff K.C. Camp on Tuesday issued an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Marcus Taylor. Taylor is charged with armed robbery, burglary and rape in a March 7, 2002, incident. If convicted on the charges, Taylor faces a life sentence.

Taylor is presently serving a three-year sentence at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Rankin County following an August conviction for selling marijuana.
