WALLS – Construction could begin as early as September on the long-sought Johnson Creek Waste Water Treatment Facility near Walls.
The DeSoto County Regional Utility Authority board on Wednesday approved a $13.8 million contract with the Louisiana-based Max Foote firm.
The plant will occupy a 40-acre site on the west side of U.S. Highway 61.
Officials said the cost of the building was affected by more stringent state and federal compliance requirements.
