Weather system brings hail in northern counties

By NEMS Daily Journal

Saturday’s storm system that rolled through the South mainly impacted Tishomingo and Alcorn counties when it hit Northeast Mississippi.
According to Ryan Husted, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Memphis, there was a lot of hail in both counties, with reports of the hail reaching the size of golf balls.
The two counties had flashflood warnings, but there were no reports of that nature, and there also were no reports of wind damage as of Saturday night.
