TUPELO – Donald “Donnie” Weaver of Okolona will spend the next 25 years in prison for having oral sex with two young boys.
Today, 49-year-old Weaver pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery.
Circuit Judge Thomas Gardner III accepted the recommendation of the District Attorney’s Office and sentenced Weaver to two terms of 40 years in custody with 15 years suspended to be served at the same time.
Weaver also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Gardner told him that for offenses like this, his sentence will be served virtually every day without chance of parole.
Weaver, a former truck driver, admitted in the Lee County Justice Center courtroom that he had oral sex with the boys, ages 8 and 9.
The grandmother of one victim spoke in court before Weaver was sentenced.
“I came close to killing you,” the woman said angrily. “You are a sick, slimy human being and you deserve everything you get.”
