West Clay Elementary joins fitness campaign

HOUSTON – A Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi grant was awarded to West Clay Elementary School to enable participation in Project Fit America, a health and fitness program.
The program provides state-of-the-art outdoor and indoor fitness equipment, and curriculum and teacher training to the facility in an effort to promote fitness and overall good health.
PFA was formed in 1990 and is a nonprofit organization that donates all-inclusive fitness programs to schools.
A kickoff for the new program will be Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. at West Clay Elementary School in Montpelier.
