We’ve shifted a few things around today

By NEMS Daily Journal

Your Sunday paper has a few changes today.
First, we’ve made the front page more like the daily paper. We’ve cleared off some clutter – the inside story promos that used to run down the left side – to make more room for front page stories and photos.
Since readers take more time with the Sunday paper, our front page stories on average will be longer than during the week, and two of them may continue inside.
Page 3A, like the daily paper, will now always contain the weather and community items. The rest of the inside front section will have more space devoted to local and state news than before.
To accommodate that, the Opinion pages move into the second section, behind Business, which shifts to the front of that section.
Additionally, our Living section front will be devoted to the people, places and ways of life that make Northeast Mississippi unique. News of upcoming community arts events has moved to the Thursday Scene section.
As with the format changes in the daily paper, we hope that after the initial adjustment this will make reading your Sunday Journal more enjoyable and convenient.
