STARKVILLE — The trial of a Maben woman accused of in death of her husband while the couple hunted in western Oktibbeha County has been rescheduled for the April term of circuit court.

The Commercial Dispatch reports that the decision on the trial of 38-year-old Verina Marie Childs came this past week after attorneys told the court they were still waiting to review expert evidence in the case.

Childs has been charged with murder in the shooting death of her husband, 32-year-old Douglas Marion Childs on Nov. 22, 2009.

Authorities say Douglas Childs was shot in the back with a rifle.
