Woman dies after drowning in pool

PONTOTOC – A 30-year-old Pontotoc woman was pronounced dead Friday morning after drowning in a pool at a private home.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green said Jennifer Edington was pronounced dead at about 5 a.m. Friday morning at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
The cause of the drowning is unknown at this time.
In a separate incident, a 20-year-old man was airlifted Saturday to NMMC after nearly drowning in Bay Springs Lake.
