GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) — Harrison County school officials say a 4-year-old boy was left on a school bus for about four hours.
Superintendent Henry Arledge said the bus driver picked up the boy Monday in the Pineville community and headed to the Harrison County Child Development Center. There was an aide on the bus with the driver to help with the children.
Arledge said the aide got the kids off the bus except for the 4-year-old who was asleep on the seat.
The bus driver went to Three Rivers Elementary, where the bus stays parked during the day. When the driver got back on the bus about 1:15 p.m., the boy was found.
Arledge says the youth was not injured.
He says Gulfport police are investigating.
