MANTACHIE – Avis Russell “Ab” Wilson, 59, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012. He was born Dec. 16, 1952, in Florida to Ottis and Lillie Mae Senter Wilson. He worked at Mueller Copper Tube in maintenance before his retirement and was the Union president at Mueller for several years. He was a member of the Unity Church of God of Prophecy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Curtis Shelton, Bro. Donald Graham and Tommy Mayhall officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Wilson of Mantachie; three daughters, Amanda Aguilera (Kike) of Corinth, Lisa Dillahay (Perry) of Springhill, Tenn., and Janet McCullough (Kevin) of Brewer; three sons, Jamie Wilson (Melinda) of Jackson, Jason Wilson (Courtney) of Booneville and Gerry Turner (Neely) of Mooreville; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Loretta Holley (Randy) of Fairview and Lynn Pannell (David) of Belden; and three brothers, Ottis Ray “PeeWee” Wilson (Nancy) of Fairview, Larry Wilson (Tonya) of Mantachie and Anthony Wilson (Elaine) of Fairview.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home.
At the request of Mr. Wilson, memorials can be made to the building fund at the Unity Church of God of Prophecy, 1865 Hwy. 363, Guntown, MS 38849.

Frances Gardner
NEW ALBANY – Frances Louise Gardner, 98, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Union County Health and Rehab in New Albany. She was born June 21, 1914, in Union County to Henry Lee and Mary Elizabeth McNeil Gardner. She formerly worked at Irwin B. Schwabe before becoming one of the first employees of Futorian Mfg., from which she retired. She was a puzzle enthusiast and really enjoyed the more challenging ones. She was the oldest member of Ingomar United Methodist Church.
A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at United Funeral Service in New Albany with Bro. Brad Sartor officiating. Burial will be in Ingomar Cemetery.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Mary Patton, Sara Mattox, Judy Bigham, Robin Knight, Brenda Pannell, Pat Grass, Lynda Womack, Donald Dodd, Jackie Dodd and Hugh Gardner; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Duncan, Hazel Coleman and Eloise Dodd, and two brothers, Hugh Gardner and Bill Gardner.
Pallbearers will be Will Dodd, Jon Dodd, Jeff Dodd, Kyle Dodd, Greg Bigham, Scott Bigham and Bill Mattox.
Memorials can be made to Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1110 County Road 90, New Albany, MS 38652.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

BELDEN – Edward Eugene Hurd, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Darlington Oak Community Hospice in Verona. He was born July 2, 1932, to John and Clara Black.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Inspirational Community Baptist Church in Tupelo with the Rev. Larry Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Porter Memorial Garden in Tupelo. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home of Verona is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Mae Cobbs of Pontotoc and Annie (Joe) Moore of Tupelo; four sons, David (Loretta) Hurd and Jessie (Dottie) Hurd, both of Tupelo, Terry (Hazel) Hurd and Tommy Hurd, both of Belden; 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carrie Moore of Okolona, Minnie (Charlie) Shelley of Sherman and Clara N. Hill of Saltillo; one sister-in-law, Lena Mae Hoover, and one brother in-law, W.L. Moore, both of Milwaukee, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Hurd; his parents, one son, Edward hurd Jr.; one daughter, Grace Fields; and one brother, Jessie Black.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today with the family hour from 5 to 6 p.m.

MANTACHIE – Nona Johnsey, 73, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. She was born Oct. 8, 1938, to Donnie Lee and Edna Stell Lauderdale. She was an employee of Olympic Products until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed working with her flowers and entertaining family and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Dempsey Rowland and Terry Ramey officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Regina Ramey (Chris) of Peppertown; three sons, Gary Johnsey of Peppertown, Tracy Johnsey of Oxford and Chad Johnsey (Julie) of Pontotoc; four grandchildren, Brooke Ramey, and Justin, Josh and Jason Johnsey; two sisters, Moize Nanney of Tupelo and Evelyn Ramey of Tupelo; a sister-in-law, Linda Lauderdale of Auburn community; a brother-in-law, Nelson Wilburn of Ozark community; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Billy Johnsey; parents; one brother, Charlie Lauderdale; and two sisters, Virginia Stennett Bishop and Louise Wilburn.
Pallbearers will be Tim Rogers, Tommy Wilburn, Justin Johnsey, Terry Ramey, Jeff Jones, Mike Flanigan and Darrell Dickinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clifton Shields, Josh Johnsey, Jason Johnsey and Brooke Ramey.

FULTON – Mildred Robinson, 84, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. She was born on Aug. 10, 1928, to James Tollie and Loraine Umfress Clouse in Mississippi. She was a founding member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was a past president and treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 51.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Royce Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Caffy (Russ) of Fulton and Deborah Smith (Larry) of Tupelo; two sisters, Olene Wright (Richard) of Fulton and Yvonne Huling of Fulton; grandsons, David Lewis (Lorie) of Fulton and Stephen Lewis (Sherry) of Mantachie; and great-grandchildren, James and Lila Lewis of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wade Robinson; her parents; and a son, Randy Robinson.

HOLLY SPRINGS – Jannie Lee Stewart Echols, 96, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at her home in Holly Springs.

BALDWYN – Randy “Hollywood” Broadway, 54, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at his residence. He was a member of Priceville Baptist Church. He was a welder and former employee of Mid South Auto Sales. He enjoyed boating, outdoors and spending time with his friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Alexander and Bro. Andy Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Pratt Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Dustin Broadway of Guntown; his mother, Nadine Butler of Baldwyn; one sister, Laurie Smink of Guntown; two brothers, Richard Broadway of Verona and Rodney White of Cape Coral, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
