VERONA – Tillie A. Zakrzewski, 91, died Monday, April 13, 2009, in Verona. She was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Gary, Ind., to John and Louise Dickson Geller. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and a “second Mom” to many nieces and nephews. A former resident of Lake Station, Ind., and a past member of St. Francis Xavier Church, she moved to Mississippi in 1986. Her husband, Stanley Zakrzewski, preceded her in death in March 1978.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. today St. Francis Xavier Church in Lake Station, Ind. The Rev. Eduardo Malagon officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Ind. Burns Funeral Home of Hobart, Ind., is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Robert Zakrzewski of Forida; two daughters, Nancy (Robert) Piver of Indiana and Mary Burcham of Mississippi; her grandchildren, Karen (Robert) Edmond of Lake Station, and Christina Faulkner and Jennifer (Tim) Chen of Mississippi; her great-grandchildren, Bobby and Brad Edmond of Lake Station, and Ryleigh Faulkner of Mississippi; her great-great-granddaughter, Angelena Edmond; a special friend, Jane Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six sisters, five brothers, a grandson, David Zakrzewski, and a great-grandson, Justin Edmond.
Friends may visit with the family at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service today.

WEST POINT – Lula Beatrice Cunningham, 88, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at her home in West Point. She was born July 26, 1920, in West Point.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in West Point with Bishop William H. Golden Sr. officiating. Burial will be in West Point Memorial Gardens. Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Louise Billups of West Point, Diana Bowen of Houston, Cynthia Mack of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Nadine Billups of Gary, Ind.; one brother, Robert Daniels Jr. of Florida; one sister, Toy Marshall of West Point; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie William Cunningham; her parents, Robert Daniels Sr. and Lucinda Moore; two sons, George Wheeler Billups and Dennis Cunningham; one brother, Wheeler Daniels; and two sisters, Mary Daniels and Mamie Moore.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
CORINTH – Kermit M. Trulove, 70, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at his home. He was born July 13, 1938. He was a member of Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Trulove’s John Deere from 1974-1961, Trulove Enterprises and Trulove Construction from 2004 to the present. He loved his family and people.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Hankins, the Rev. Ron Williams and the Rev. Tony Pounders officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Hight Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Trulove; his mother, Raider Trulove; three sons, Steven Trulove Sr., Tim Trulove Shope (Miranda) and K.M. “Chip” Trulove Jr. (Keesha); one daughter, Abbie Dallin (Cyrus); his grandchildren, Steven Craig Trulove Jr., Christopher Robert Trulove, Kyle Allen Lindsay, Mary Elizabeth Trulove, Robert Tyler Shope, Alyssa Danielle Trulove, Lillia Hadley Shope, Addie Morgan Trulove and Annabelle Elise Shope; two brothers, Herbert Trulove (Jean) and Hubert Trulove (Lynn); and his mother-in-law, Virginia Yarbrough.
He was preceded in death by his father, Troy M. Trulove, and his father-in-law, Robert “Bert” Yarbrough.

ECRU – Sylvia Harris, 51, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Pontotoc. She was born July 25, 1957, in New Albany. She joined St. Paul M.B. Church at an early age. She was a graduate of North Pontotoc High School and of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She was a former employee of Cooper Tire.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul M.B. Church at Ecru with the Rev. Raymond Shugars officiating. Burial will be St. Paul Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Kashira Harris of Memphis; her mother, Lucy Harris Judon of Ecru; three brothers, W.T. ETTA – Joe E. Driver, 80, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was a native of Lafayette County and a retired ground tech for the University of Mississippi.

BATESVILLE – George Ted Wright, 68, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at her home in Batesville. He was a native of Panola County and a retired cable worker for Mastic.

FALKNER – Margaret Jamieson “Jamie” McMillin Henderson, 56, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at her residence. She was born Aug. 12, 1952, to Helen Jamieson McMillin and the late Ernest Wright McMillin Jr. She was a member of Falkner Baptist Church. She was a kindergarden teacher for 30 years at Falkner, Ridgeland and Ripley. She was a loving wife and mother. A master quilter, she loved being outdoors and crafting.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Huddleston and Bro. Mark Jones officiating. Burial will be in Falkner Cemetery.

BOONEVILLE – Drewery Matthew “Tooter” Windham, 69, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at his home. He was born Oct. 22, 1939, in Prentiss County to Carroll Davis Windham and Lelia Bridges “Jack” Windham. He was a sales clerk at Paine Supply Company (later Hughes Supply Company) in Tupelo for many years. He also owned and operated a grocery store in Jumpertown for several years. He was a Methodist. An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, he enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, collecting baseball cards and spending time with his grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gene Coltharp and Bro. Larry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Genell Cartwright Windham, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1958; twin sons, Jeff Windham (Susan) and Harold Windham (Theresa), all of Rienzi; three sisters, Carolyn “Sis” Smith (Archie) and Rachel Jones (Max), both of Jumpertown, and Lynn Ashmore (Larry) of Booneville; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Windham of Booneville, Brittany Windham, Jonathon Windham, Casey Windham, Hope Windham, Samantha Windham and Megan Windham, all of Rienzi; and a great-grandson, Caden Levi Russell of Rienzi.

OKOLONA – Elizabeth Banks, 44, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her home in Okolona. She was born July 31, 1964, to Catherine Washington in Belzoni. She lived in Okolona for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and bringing laughter to everyone.

CORINTH – Dola Gray Isbell Kiddy, 82, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at her home. She was a member of Rock Hill Apostolic Church and a homemaker. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed gardening, fishing, collectibles and her two cats, Whitey and Yellow.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Steve Findley will officiate, and Charlie Browning will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery.
